Applied Epi is a grassroots, nonprofit organization that is the leading provider of R training and support for the public health workforce. Our free
Epidemiologist R Handbook has been used over 2.7 million times by 750,000 people, and we have delivered synchronous R courses to 1,500 people at hundreds of health agencies including the US CDC, European CDC, Nigeria CDC, Doctors without Borders, WHO, national Ministries of Health, hundreds of district/local/county agencies, and Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETPs).
Course overview: This course aims to help the participants develop strong skills in automating reports and producing presentations in R. The course teaches efficient ways to iterate and loop to produce multiple reports, how to produce basic dashboards with the {flexdashboard} package using R Markdown syntax, advanced formatting tips for R Markdown, and how to produce PowerPoint and HTML presentations with R. These skills will boost your public health reporting ability and allow your team to produce timely information in a repeatable and manageable way.
Sessions include live coding demonstrations, lectures, interactive facilitated coding exercises, and 1-on-1 support meetings with instructors. There is approximately 1 instructor for each 6 participants You can read more in

Language: This course is delivered in English.
Schedule: The classroom instruction will consist of 2 virtual, synchronous sessions of 3.5 hours each. Before the course, you are expected to complete software installations (R, RStudio, and RTools, R packages) and download the course materials.
Meeting platform: The course will occur via Google Meets. Please join via Google Chrome web browser.
