The Creativity Shell Launches Creativity Hour: A Nationwide Challenge to Inspire Imagination and Innovation in Children
HOUSTON, TX – The Creativity Shell, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children through creative education, is thrilled to announce the launch of its newest initiative, Creativity Hour. This national challenge invites children across the USA to think outside the box, explore their imagination, and create something extraordinary in just one hour or less.
The Challenge: During Creativity Hour, students will open a mystery box filled with assorted creative supplies. They will have 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or a full hour to use the materials provided to craft something—anything—from their imagination. This activity encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-expression, while fostering a sense of accomplishment and joy in making something uniquely their own.
How to Participate:
Teachers/Schools/Communities: Bring Creativity Hour to your classrooms! Request Creativity Hour kits tailored for your students by filling out the request/application forms below.

Why Creativity Hour Matters: In a world increasingly dominated by screens and standardized testing, Creativity Hour offers children a much-needed opportunity to unplug, think creatively, and engage their hands and minds. “Creativity Hour is more than an activity,” says Shelancia Daniel, founder of the Creativity Shell. “It’s a movement to bring imagination back into the lives of children and to show them that they can think, build, and create without limits.”
Get Involved Today! The Creativity Shell is calling on educators, parents, volunteers, and donors to help make Creativity Hour a nationwide success. Whether it’s packing kits, making a donation, or simply spreading the word, everyone can play a part in inspiring the next generation of creators.
