Senior Social Netball Registration form - 2024
At Tauranga Girls' College we have a very excited about the Netball season. We have been working really hard over the off season to establish clear pathways and coaching support for our young Netball players.

Grading Saturday 11th May.

Friday nights 17th May until 23rd August

Times depend on the team they are in. there is 3 time slots

Please fill out the below form so we have all the information to be able to communicate with you and your young person throughout the season.

Fees for 2024
1 player per family - $140
2 players per family - $260
3 or more players per family - $300
*Please indicate other siblings on each individual form to receive a reduction in fees.

Umpire Koha of $30 per player is added into the fees - If you have a minimum of your Centre Theory and are committed to umpiring a team each week we can offer a discount to netball fees as a thank you.

Tauranga Girls’ College would like to  support families who are in need of financial assistance when selecting to play a sport for their daughter.  The Sport Equity Budget allows you to access this support by:

In the email state the sport / team you would like financial support in and how much the subscription fee costs
Tell us your reason for requesting our financial support

The Sport Equity Budget aims to reduce the financial barrier of playing a sport and endeavors to cover some of the costs associated with your team/code. The amount of support will depend on the demand over summer and then winter codes/teams.

TRIAL DATES: There are no trials for Social Teams.

Sport Equity Fund - What is it & how to access it.
Established by the Board of Trustees to address equity in sport, the Sports Equity Fund has a vision to see more students being able to participate in sport where previously they may not have due to financial constraints.

Donating to the Sport Equity Fund 
We are seeking financial supports from those who are willing to support others. If you would like to contribute to this fund either personally or as a business this would be greatly appreciated. You can donate to a specific sports code or to general sports. All funds will sit in a different account to the sports departments general working accounts. 

If you would like to contribute to this fund by donating an additional amount over and above your young persons sporting fee this is greatly appreciated. We just ask that you reference this payment slightly differently so our financial assistant knows what the extra money is for.

Student expectations & Consent 
Students are representing Tauranga Girls' college in a sports team normal school rules apply for the duration of this season and the highest standard of behavior is expected at all times. These behaviors are reflected in our values of Manaakitanga (Respect), Mahi tahi (Participation) and Mana Motuhake (Pride).
The sports 'Player Code of Conduct' must be followed at all times. Please ensure your young person has read this document. 

Tauranga Girls' College Sports - Player Code of Conduct 
Good sport is about positive attitude. Play your part - play fair. To the best of my ability, I will:
  • Play by the rules
  • Turn up to practice
  • Turn up to games/tournaments 
  • Notify the Coach/es or Manager/s if I will not be at practice or games
  • Never argue with an Official 
  • Never argue with the Coach/es, Manager/s
  • Not put anyone down or bullying
  • Be respectful at all times to Coach/es, Manager/s, Parents/ Other Teams 
  • Be respectful towards my team members 
  • Not to consume alcohol, drugs or cigarettes
  • Not swear 
  • Be on my best behavior at all times
  • Not bring the school into disrepute
  • Represent the school to the best of my ability 
  • Wear only TGC uniform to sporting events, i.e. no mufti.
I have read the Players Code of Contact and understand that I must abide by this code at all times. I agree that if I breach any of the rules in the Code of Conduct that I will be stood down from a game. I agree that if I continue to reach the rules in the Code of Conduct that I may be removed from the team.
I give consent for the student named above to play Netball for Tauranga Girls' College and will attend all trainings and games unless unwell. I/we understand that there will be a trial process and my child will play in the team she is placed in. I give permission for my contact details to be given to team management for the purpose of communicating team information. I understand that all fees must be paid before a uniform is issued unless an agreement is arranged with the Director of Sport,  Mrs Kaye Barnett. *
