Our mission is to increase the number of 100+ book homes in Brooklyn. We believe every child in Brooklyn deserves to own the books that they want to read and enjoy. Individuals, families with their children, and organizations are welcome to volunteer. Please fill out your availability and we will get back to you with a confirmation. Ingersoll Cornerstone Community Center

On November 7, 2019, work with children from the Ingersoll Cornerstone Community Center afterschool program at 177 Myrtle Avenue and help them select books from the Brooklyn Book Bodega. Adults only please.

November 9, 2019

Ingersoll Cornerstone Community Center

On November 9, 2019, we will host Brooklyn Book Bodega at Ingersoll Cornerstone Community Center, 177 Myrtle Avenue. The event is from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. Responsibilities include setting up the event, organizing books, checking in guests, checking out guests, helping guests with browsing, support guest authors, and assisting with miscellaneous tasks. Individuals, families, and organizations welcome to volunteer.

10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (SETUP/EVENT)

12 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (EVENT)

1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (EVENT/CLOSING)

November 17, 2019

Barnes & Noble Park Slope

On November 17, 2019 the Brooklyn Book Bodega will be hosting free programming at Barnes and Noble Park Slope at 267 7th Avenue. A percentage of all sales will be donated to Brooklyn Book Bodega. Responsibilities include gift wrapping, distributing vouchers, supporting guest authors and sharing information about Brooklyn Book Bodega with customers. Individuals, families, and organizations welcome to volunteer. Note: This is not a book giveaway event.

1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m.

2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
