Class & Open Train Rules for the Air
> Per SoCo’s Mission Statement, we strive for safe and successful aerial practices meeting the unique goals of each individual client.
To that end we expect everyone entering to be respectful, supportive, and kind to each other and to the instructors to maintain this environment. This is a safe space.
> SoCo’s Liability Waiver must be completed prior to participating in any activities.
A parent/guardian must sign the waiver for students under 18 years old.
> Please advise us of any injuries or personal areas of concern prior to class.
> Bring a water bottle and aerial journal/notebook with you to every class.
> Safety is always the top priority of any aerial activity. Respect the risk.
New skills are to be learned close to the ground before in the air.
Students should understand how & be able to execute “walking down” drops prior to dropping.
> Appropriate Warm-Ups & Cool-Downs are expected.
If a student is more than ten minutes late to class, his/her participation in class is at the instructor's discretion.
> Students are not allowed on any apparatus without a sufficient warm up in studio.
> Mats must be used under any activity or skill off the ground.
Do NOT jump from an apparatus; take care to dismount properly.
> Using aerial equipment without the instructor present is prohibited.
> Students are not allowed to teach each other aerial poses, sequences, skills, etc.
This is skill- trading or skill-sharing and is strictly prohibited.
Only an insured instructor may teach skills to participants.
> Cell phones should not be out during class; instructors will allow time at the end of class for participants to take pictures or videos as they like.
> The use of recreational and/or illegal drugs, alcohol or controlled substances is strictly prohibited at all times during aerial activities.
