Dobbs Ferry Library DnD Club
Hey folks 👋🏼

We're now accepting sign-ups for the Dungeons and Dragons (DnD) club at the library!

Now that we've hired a teen librarian (huzzah!) we can offer the club more than once a week—and invite more people to the table. We're running the club on both Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 4 to 6pm in the Community Room. We're very excited to be able to offer more spots for people who want to play DND. Last year's waitlist was longer than the roster of active players!

To help accommodate as many people as possible, you're limited to attending one of the two days.

This form will help us understand which days you're available and which of them is your preference. We can't promise there will be a spot or that we'll have one for your first pick of day—but the more flexibility you have the easier it will be for us to find you a table

FAQ
My friend's parents don't check their email very often. Is my friend going to get this message? Thanks for letting us know! Please send your friend this form using whatever method works best.

Can I share this with other people who are interested? Absolutely! We'd be thrilled if you did. They need to be 8 or older to join the club.

There's something important you need to know—how do I tell you? I'm so glad you asked! Please use the "is there anything else we should know" section at the bottom. The only people who will see the answers to this survey are Librarians Gina and Alex and their team of volunteers, and we promise we'll read every answer.

How do I get in touch with you? Librarians Gina and Alex are here and happy to help. You can reach them at dobchildref@wlsmail.org and ayeranossian@wlsmail.org.

Availability
We're going to use your feedback to help us pick the best days for the club to meet. We can offer one seat per week per student, but the more availability you have the more likely it is we'll be able to offer you a seat.

Please note the time of the club has changed to 4pm to 6pm! 🎉
We're back to our pre-pandemic time slot, and are looking forward to an extra 30 minutes of DnD each week.

Questions for the person joining the club
Hey 👋🏼

(adults, now is a good time to back away from the keyboard and hand it off your child)

🎨 We're asking for some creativity and effort in this form! 🧠
There's no right answer, but please show us you care. If there's anything you don't know how to answer, ask for help or do your best and don't worry about it too much. DnD is meant to be fun, after all!

Write a character introduction. Imagine it's your first day at the club and this is the first impression everyone gets of your character.

What words would you choose to describe they way they look and talk?

What actions do they take that reveal who they are and what they do?

PS - This doesn't need to be your character or the one you'd like to roleplay in the club. It could be a famous movie character, or it could be a character you made up. If you need inspiration, look at this list of characters and use one to write your introduction.

What's in a name? That which we call a rose... *
Imagine you're in the world of DnD, and your character is part of an elite group of monster hunters. This guild of hunters, heroes, and adventurers only admits the most daring, foolish, or skilled people in the world. It has outposts and meeting halls all across the continent. It is famous everywhere that bedtime stories of monsters and monster hunters are told.

What is the name of this guild?
Is there anything else you'd like us to know?
That's all folks!
Thank you for helping us set up this next season of DnD at the library.
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
