TUTOR REQUEST SUBMISSION FORM
Hello, Northfield teachers!

This is the form for you to request tutors through ACCELERATE NORTHFIELD's database. NORTHFIELD COLLEGE TUTORS and NORTHFIELD COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS will choose opportunities from this database. 

This is ONLY for classroom tutor opportunities, and not classroom helpers.

Here are instructions for completing this form:
  • Please fill in EVERY BOX marked "Required." (The only box not required is for BLOCK SCHEDULING. Use this box only if plan to request work-study students for the full 2-plus hour spot.)
  • Complete one form for EACH opportunity you seek. If you are seeking two or more tutors for one opportunity, use ONLY one form. This cuts down on work for you.
  • Be specific as possible in duties and requirements for your opportunity.
There are new features on this form:
  • The number of volunteers needed: Complete one form for each opportunity, regardless of the number of volunteers you are seeking. There is a box in which you indicate how many tutors you want for the spot. 
  • Time frame in which tutors are needed: Because of academic schedules, some NORTHFIELD COLLEGE TUTORS and community volunteers are able to serve in our schools for only one semester. If you want to break your opportunity into two, semester/trimester-long opportunities, this column allows you to do that.
  • Type of tutoring opportunity: Many NORTHFIELD COLLEGE TUTORS will be scheduling their service in the block format, meaning they will be working in 2+-hour blocks on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Monday-Friday afternoons. As part of their federal funding package, they are required to serve math or reading assignments.
Because of the additions, this form is longer than in the past. The additional information will help you attract tutors that better fit your needs.

ACCELERATE typically fills roughly 60 percent of opportunities each year. Volunteer positions are posted on regular emails to people who registered with ACCELERATE, on ACCELERATE's website (www.acceleratenorthfield.org), on Facebook and in local media.
