Code of Ethics

I will participate in required Peer Helpers training and activities.

I will make honesty, leadership, and service a personal priority.

I will do my best to be a caring person, treating others with respect and dignity.

I will be a good school role model, abiding by the rules and regulations.

I will represent myself with integrity at school, off campus, and on all social media.

I will abstain from the use of alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, and other illegal drugs; furthermore, I will avoid situations in which students are using the above drugs.

I will maintain confidentiality of program related activities in all cases EXCEPT:

When there is a threat of serious harm to self or others.

When illegal activity is occurring on campus.

When mistreatment such as bullying or abuse is suspected.

When problems are severe enough beyond the expertise of the Peer Helper.

I will report the above exceptions immediately to the program coordinator or designated professional staff.
