Deposit Policy and Puppy Selection process
We are dedicated to loving, showing, and occasionally breeding Havanese to preserve the blood line.

Breeding is for one purpose: to improve the breed. We breed our next litter looking for the next exceptional show dog, not for the soul purpose of selling pets. Sometimes there will be one or more puppies that are not of show quality, but that will make exceptional companion and pets. When we place our puppies as companions we carefully screen our homes and place the puppy on a spay/neuter contract with limited AKC registration.

We are a hobby breeder with an excellent reputation. We are very selective about where our puppies live. We check references, sometimes conduct home visits, and we invite you to do the same.

If you are interested in arranging a visit to meet us, or our Havanese and observe how they interact in a family environment please email me at justamerehavanese@gmail.com and we can make an appointment for a visit to my home. We welcome visitors, however we REQUIRE an application to be completed and submitted prior to scheduling a visit. I prefer to spend one on one time with each person and family and learn about you and your interest so that I can match the correct puppy with you and your family.

WE DO NOT SHIP PUPPIES. We DO NOT accept PayPal, or any other types of credit card payment. Our puppies are NOT "mail order" merchandise.

All of our dogs AKC registered. Our pet puppies are sold on a non-breeding spay/neuter contract. They must be spayed or neutered by 9 months of age. Puppies are ready to go to their new families at 10 weeks of age. We offer a 2 year genetic health guarantee on all pets. If your application is approved, a $200 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy or put on a waiting list. All of our dogs are examined yearly by a board certified Ophthalmologist and are registered with CERF. All dogs that are 1 year and older patellar luxation and those that are 2 years and older are screened for hip dysplasia. The test results are registered with OFA.

My goal is to bring Havanese that are structurally and temperamentally conformed to the AKC standard. My babies live in my home with me and sleep with me in my room at night. They are never isolated from our family in a kennel or outdoor building. They are members of my family and are loved. Thank you for inquiring about my Havanese.
