Often the work which the children are covering involves the local area, the library or the church, and teachers like to use the environment around the school to extend the children’s learning.  The children are able to walk the short distances involved, and we always comply with the local education authority’s regulations as regards supervision on such visits.  

It would assist in the planning if all parents would consent to their children leaving the school premises for such visits at the beginning of their time at St Joseph’s.  I am therefore asking that you complete the consent form below.

Local visits would take place within the school day, and there would be no financial costs.  Parents will be asked to give consent separately for any visit involving transport or other costs or whether the destination is further afield.
