Palace Rental Form
The Georgetown Palace Theatre rents its spaces to the community of Williamson County and surrounding areas, as availability permits.

Equipment and use
  • Basic use of the Palace's lighting, sound, projection, and headset communication equipment may be used without additional cost. If you need special lighting or sound, see our additional services and let the rental coordinator know. The equipment will be operated by a Georgetown Palace Theater technician at $30 per hour for each Technician. The rental coordinator will work with you on your specific needs. 
  • Thermostat settings for the air conditioning must be operated by the Palace technician.
  • The Palace does not provide office equipment and/or phones.
  • Guess WIFI access is available in all Palace Buildings.
  • Equipment may be unloaded/loaded at the back door of the Springer Stage by temporarily parking in the Tin Barn Alley, but vehicles should be moved after loading/unloading has been completed.
  • Event parking is available on first come, first served basis on the streets. Parking is not permitted in Palace Staff lot behind the Springer Stage off of Rock Street.
  • When rentals occur during the run of a Palace production, that production's set and props shall remain in place, unless they can be easily removed and replaced. The focus of the lighting instruments may not be adjusted. 
  • If the renter needs to put tape on the stage floor, a damage fee will be assessed if removal of the tape damages the painted floor in anyway.

Services & Conditions
  • Events for political gatherings are strictly prohibited.
  • An advance payment of fifty percent (50%) of the total fee plus $100 refundable security deposit is due at time of booking. Remaining payment is due one week before date of rental. The security deposit will be refunded, via check, within two weeks, following the rental date, minus any additional fees.
  • In the event of cancellation more than two weeks prior to the event, all fees and deposits will be refunded. If the event is canceled less than 2 weeks prior to the event, all fees will be refunded, minus the security deposit. 
  • Renter is entirely responsible for advertising their event, and no rental events will be advertised at the Palace or listed on the Palace website. 
  • Renter is entirely responsible for ticket sales for renter’s event, unless the renter elects to have the Palace sell the tickets through their online website.
  • The Renter must also provide all Front of house staff, including a House Manager, and ushers, unless the renter chooses to hire the Palace's Front of House Staff.
  • Tickets should be sold with reserved seating. Standing room will not be permitted and chairs may not be placed in the aisles.
  • No sales of any products or services of any kind may be made during use by renter without the express prior written consent of the Palace.
  • The Palace Theatre retains all concession rights for the sale of food or beverages at rental events.
  • The Palace shall not be responsible for or liable to Applicant/Renter for any loss resulting from any lack of heat, water, electricity, lighting, or air conditioning due to an act of God or failure of equipment to operate or function properly.
Liability of Applicant/Renter
  • Applicant/Renter will provide public liability insurance coverage with limits of not less than $300,000 per person and $1,000,000 per occurrence. Georgetown Palace Theatre, Inc., must be listed as an additional insured. An insurance certificate verifying the required coverage must be returned when the Leasing Agreement is returned to the Palace.
  • The Applicant/Renter agrees to be liable for any and all damages to Palace property and equipment, and agrees to repair or (at the Palace’s option) replace any damaged property or equipment.
  • Applicant/Renter agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Georgetown Palace Theatre, Inc., its officers, trustees, Board members, employees, agents, and attorneys, from and against any and all suits, actions, losses, damages, claims, causes of action and liability of any character, type, or description, including all expenses of litigation, court costs, and attorney’s fees, for injury to or death to any person, or injury to any property (and any combination thereof), arising out of, or occasioned by, directly or indirectly, the use of Palace facilities by Applicant/Renter, or in any manner related thereto, including specifically any arising out of the negligence or alleged negligence of Georgetown Palace Theatre, Inc., and including any performance or nonperformance by Applicant/Renter under this agreement, and expressly including any injury or damage to any person attending Applicant/Renter’s function(s).
