Boone Garden/ Pond Access Request
During this critical time, limited access may be granted to gardens on school property for the purpose of food production and gardening. Registering for access is crucial to ensure physical distancing can be achieved and to track potential exposure during outbreaks. Do not enter the property grounds until you have received email confirmation of your date and time. Your approved date/time is only available to you and members of your household. Public access to buildings and amenities (playgrounds, etc.) will not be granted. Gardens that are only accessible through a building (in a closed courtyard, for example) are accessible only to designated AISD staff at this time.

PLEASE READ:    Please do not enter the garden before your approved time nor remain after.     • Please do not enter non-garden areas of the property. All grounds are closed for access unless authorized by a school administrator.      • Have a copy of your garden access confirmation email available while you are on AISD property (on phone or printed).     • Do not visit the garden if you or a member of your household feels ill or has been within six feet of someone outside of your household within the previous 14 days.     • Adhere to the physical distance requirements of at least 6 feet from people outside your household at all times.            • Leave gates open to avoid frequent contact.     • Do not eat or drink on school grounds.     • Only garden-related activities are permitted. Group games (basketball, soccer, frisbee, etc.)and workout groups that require shared equipment and/or that cannot be performed with physical distancing are not permitted. • Arrive with your own mask or cloth face covering and wear it when on school property.     • Wash/sanitize your hands before and after visiting the school grounds.     • Bring and use your own tools, supplies, and protective gloves. Do not share with others.             • Bring disinfectant or hand sanitizer to the garden to assist with disinfecting. View the EPA’s list of disinfectants for use against the virus that causes COVID-19:https://www.epa.gov/pesticide-registration/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2        • Do not touch surfaces unless necessary. Do not touch a hose, spigot, or compost bin unless you are wearing gloves. Follow all precautions to disinfect all surfaces before and after you touch them.     • We recommend harvesting food only for your personal use or for members of your household and washing produce at home to reduce contamination of spigots and hoses at the garden.     • Remember to always be proactive to prevent the spread of illness: Do not assume that the person before you has followed these guidelines. *
