Call for Poster Abstracts

On the 25th anniversary of the Pacific Rim Community Design Network, we invite new and old friends join us in Tohoku, and together look back at the history of the network, while considering current and future needs for community design and action in Japan and around the Pacific Rim.

On Sept.18, 2023, along with the Big Table/Symposium at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, we invite participants to share their research and receive feedback through a poster presentation session.

We invite poster submissions that consider the theme of the 2023 gathering in Tohoku of “Community and Justice in Crises”, and the need for community planners to address "Justice" in cities, encompassing social justice as well as environmental justice. We welcome poster submissions sharing research and/or practice related to community design work in the Pacific Rim, which may consider some of the following themes:

- Local/regional long-term sustainability
