This is the formal sign-up form for the CCfCS workshop on ML in climate science. The workshop will take place next week on Wednesday 23rd March in the Pavilion B basement of the CMS, meeting in the central core at 11am. All of the tasks will be on a remote server using interactive jupyter notebooks so you will be able to access the material on a personal computer -  no specific hardware or software is required! Alternatively there are around 15 computers for use in the venue, please let us know if you would like to use one.

Sign ups will be limited to ~25 in-person places due to the existing room capacities in the CMS, these will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis. If you sign up but can no longer make it, please let us know so that we can offer your place to someone else. We also hope to run the workshop online provided we can get the tech set up properly, but in any case the interactive notebooks will be publicly available online afterwards to go through in your own time.

A range of lunch foods will be provided! Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements. The plan for the day is as follows:

Morning session (11am - 12:30pm):
Tutorial session on exploring climate datasets, and an introduction to machine learning and building simple neural networks.

Lunch provided from 12:30pm-1:30pm

Afternoon session (1:30pm - 3pm)
`Hackathon' style session with the opportunity to explore a typical problem in climate science using a recent dataset and some of the tools covered in the morning session. A template code will be provided to help you get started, and collaboration/discussion with others is highly encouraged!
