We are excited to offer this new weekend workshop for Ages 20-30!
Building Immersion, Life Tools takes place Saturday and Sunday July 9 and 10 from 9am to 5PM at Seeds of Solidarity Farm and Education Center in Orange MA. This is a terrific opportunity for those seeking basic building skills and tool use to increase your own skill set, confidence, and self-reliance. Great for farmers, artists, aspiring design/builders, or simply to try something new and fun.
You will learn (and experience!) building basics for foundation, walls, and roof that can be adapted for a tool shed, tiny house, and many other structures. Along with plenty of hands-on learning, this weekend workshop includes conversation to envision a bountiful life forward, in a beautiful setting and in community with others. The workshop is taught by Ricky Baruc and Deb Habib, co-founders of Seeds of Solidarity and designer/builders of various beautiful and energy efficient structures you will see on the farm site. Ricky and Deb are also the authors of Making Love While Farming: Field Guide to a Life of Passion and Purpose (Levellers Press). During this workshop we will co-create a small outdoor performance stage together and feel the joy of that accomplishment!
Cost for the weekend: Sliding scale $75- $175. ($250 value). Two farm-fresh lunches included, on-site overnight camping available [free, byo tent and bedding]. Pre-registration required, minimum of 6 participants to run, capped at 15, so register soon. To register, complete the info below. We will then request a $25 deposit to hold your spot that will be applied towards your total offering. Please feel free to direct any questions to
