Are you a physical performer? Do you feel blocked around using your voice on stage? Are you interested in exploring what stops you using your voice? Do you want to learn playful body-based approaches to releasing your voice? Then this is the workshop for you!
This two-day workshop from Holly Stoppit is designed for circus performers, dancers and clowns who want to build confidence and learn techniques to bring their voices out to play.
Holly will hold a safe and exploratory space where a small group of physical performers can take risks to generate sounds and words from body-based play, for use in devising and improvisation.
Holly Stoppit is a performance skills teacher, facilitator and dramatherapist specialising in playful, interactive, autobiographical performance. For this workshop, she will dip into her massive performer-training toolkit and pull out exercises from a variety of sources including Natural Voice, Action Theatre, clown devising, improvisation, stand-up comedy, Archetypal Play, mindfulness meditation and guided reflection.
