P06: International health clinical rotation for pharmacy students
The goal of this international health elective is to offer pharmacy students an opportunity to learn about health and healing with a more global perspective by living and working in another country. The opportunities for clinical rotation are in clinics and hospitals of the Costa Rican health system that serves 95% of the population. The Costa Rican Social Security Fund (Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social - CCSS) is the institution that is in charge of the administration of all health care centers. Students can choose dates in the period between January 2 and December 15 of each year. A minimum participation of 4 weeks accepted and a maximum of 8.

Junior pharmacy students or pre-medicine interested in clinical rotations may consider their participation in our P07 program.

Being fluent in Spanish is mandatory to enroll in this program. If you want to learn or improve your medical Spanish, you can consider your participation in our P010A program.
