The Juraj Dobrila University of Pula (Croatia) has started the process of developing a new online* postgraduate specialist study, the first in the scientific field of information and communication sciences, branch of journalism. The purpose of this research is to assess the interest of potential students in this new study programme.
The survey is conducted as part of the project Higher Education of Journalists in a Digital Environment (HEJDE), an international scientific institutional project of the Faculty of Humanities of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula for the period from 2021 to 2023. The project brings together an international team of collaborators, scientists and institutions working on key project activities from different perspectives. You can read more about the project on its official website: https://ffpu.unipu.hr/hejde.
The central goal of the project activity within which the survey is conducted is to determine whether, from an academic perspective, there is a need to establish an online journalism study program in the Croatian language that could be attended by all interested parties from countries in the region.
The postgraduate specialist study programme Journalism at the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula would be the first university study programme in Southeast Europe that educates journalists remotely.
Thanks to the organization of distance learning, students will be able to access it from anywhere, there will be no travel and accommodation costs, and it will represent a more accessible way of learning, especially in terms of student time management.
Based on the above description, please help us assess the value and need for such a degree by completing the following survey.
