We expect players to have a well developed character: backstory, personality, flaws, fears, etc.... And to maintain character consistency. Many characters grow and develop over the campaign, but manipulating your character to do things that you as a player want to do (or asking other players to change their characters for you / your character) is definitely not in the spirit of our roleplaying. What are your takes on that? [For example, if in-game during a battle, one character does damage to others (e.g. catching them in an AOE blast), and you as a player do not like that, the conflict is between characters and would need to be resolved through in-game character discussions. Is that alright with you? What are your thoughts?]
