Bird of a Feather (BoF) sessions provide opportunities to gather and discuss special topics of interest. If you have a topic you would like to invite others to discuss with you or believe you have a topic that is of interest to the Galaxy community, submit the following form to indicate your interest in organizing such a session.
It is entirely up to you how a BoF is organized. For example, you may adopt a structured approach with presentations, an agenda-driven event, or just an open-ended discussion. Virtual attendees can not be accommodated and virtual speakers are not encouraged. Whichever model you choose, please ensure there is time for discussion and that all participants are engaged.
BoF sessions will be scheduled at the end of each day of the main conference. Each session will be 1.5 hours long. You may submit any number of BoF topics. We will try to accommodate as many as the schedule will allow but may ask to consolidate similar topics.
The deadline for submissions is June 22, 2023 but we encourage earlier submissions so that participants can plan their program accordingly.
