ASSW - 2024 Volunteer Form
Dear Applicant, 

Thank you for expressing the interest in the Arctic Science Summit Week in Edinburgh in March 2024! To apply to volunteer at the ASSW2024, please fill in this form by 20 December 2023. 

ASSW is a large international conference organised annually by the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC). If you are interested in Arctic Science, this is a unique opportunity to meet and establish connections with the leading researchers in the field from all over the world. 

We are very grateful for your enthusiasm and support - it is impossible to run a big international event without helpers. We have a selection of volunteering roles that we would need help with, including registration desk support, microphone handling, monitoring of online questions, greeting team and other roles. Full training / briefing will be provided and no previous experience is required. 

We are looking to for a team of approximately 20 volunteers and the priority will be given to local volunteers - students and early career researchers based in Edinburgh. Unfortunately we are not in the position to provide travel and accommodation support for volunteers, however - we would offer complimentary tickets for volunteers. In exchange for one day of volunteering at ASSW-2024, we will be delighted to offer a free day ticket to attend other events during the summit. We will also be issuing gratitude certificates from the International Arctic Science Committee and offering some other bonuses. Limited travel support opportunities are provided by other organisations including the IASC.
