Outreach Chair 2022
The Outreach chair is the connection between our newest and oldest participants. Throughout the year, this position will work to connect alumni to our cause through the alumni rep program and encourage them to participate in our fundraising efforts. They will also lead the Inspiring New Leaders program, which is our freshman leadership program, as they learn about our cause and grow within the organization. The Outreach Chair will also be responsible for post Dance Marathon follow-ups on the retention of our past INLs. It’s important that the Outreach chair is able to collaborate well with the other members of the Executive Board.

The Outreach Chair will work underneath the Dancer Relations Director.

-Check-in on the past year INLs post marathon to help with retention rates and continued involvement
-Continue the curriculum based program for new INLs in order to establish a pattern for learning about the various parts of this organization
-Establish a family-like bond early on in the year through a retreat program
-Oversee the alumni rep/city coordinator program in an effort to establish an equal level playing field and foster inclusivity among the alumni team throughout the entire year. As well as host monthly or bi-monthly meetings with alumni team representatives.
-Our Marathon is not just a weekend in the Spring semester, it is a yearlong movement. Thus, it’s important for our alumni to be as involved with the cause as any other dancer.
