Horror Games Through Digital Eras
In 1994, the PlayStation 1 was released in Japan to massive success. Nowadays the release of the PlayStation 5 is imminent, and in the preceding 26 years technology has allowed for huge improvements in graphics and performance. I am interested in the use of the PlayStation 1 graphics in contemporary indie horror games, and why this aesthetic is making a resurgence.
