Narrative 1 - please respond in 500 words or less:                                                                         The community’s founding members created a working “mission” for Vista House communities. "Mere Christianity, we believe, is not just a set of doctrines to be believed but is also the unique life of love that Christ modeled. The in-house fellows (residents) are the hands and feet of Christ, extending Christian hospitality and inclusiveness to those who make the effort to visit the home. By serving the rest of the community with the preparing and serving of meals, the creation of a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the forging of genuine relationships with others, the residential fellows will, as best as possible, model the holistic Christian life. This holistic life is comprised of intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and relational cohesiveness in love, which is the imitation of Christ (perfected by Christ Himself)." >>Given your review of the application materials, including the above partial mission statement, and the policies of the Vista House, share a brief account of your personal values, expectations/desires, and concerns about living in intentional Christian community. *
Required
Narrative 2 - please respond in 500 words or less: The Vista House community is an ecumenical and inter-denominational intentional Christian community including persons who do not identify with any particular Christian denomination.  >> Please share any relevant thoughts about your journey of Christian faith, your own beliefs about Jesus, the Trinity, the Church, and your capacity/desire to live with other young adults whose Christian faith will likely be different from your own.                                                                    *If helpful, feel free to comment on the Apostles’ Creed, commonly considered to be the distillation of Christian doctrine, though this is not required. *
