Texting, Email, Social Media and Online Video Communication

The youth ministry team understands the importance of communicating with teens to build a relationships, provide important news and updates, and to engage the teens through social media. In order to communicate within the safe environment guidelines, we need your permission and support. Please check the box below if you grant your child permission to participate in texting, email, social media and online video communication through the St. Gabriel Youth Ministry. The proper safe environment guidelines will be followed by having at least two adults who have access to monitor all communication with minors through social media, there will not be any online video meetings where there is only with one adult and one minor and when emailing and texting, parents will be included in a group email/text with the student.

St. Gabriel Catholic Church uses photos and video to share the good news of parish life with our faith community and to invite others to worship, serve, and grow with us. Photos and video are used in our print and electronic publications, which include the bulletin, the church website, approved social media, and press releases. At no time does identifying information (such as a child’s name, age, or contact information) accompany photos we publish without specific consent from the child’s parent or guardian. St. Gabriel Catholic Church owns all rights to these images. It does not sell or provide any compensation for their use.
By registering, I give permission for photos and images of my child for use in church communications and release St. Gabriel Catholic Church and its photographers from all claims and liability relating to use of these photos and images. I understand that I may withdraw permission through a written request.
