August 15 is the National Liberation Day of Korea (known as gwang-bok-jeol) — the only holiday celebrated on the entire Korean peninsula. It coincides with Victory over Japan Day, when U.S. forces ended the decades-long Japanese occupation of the Korean peninsula.
Please join KAAGNY on Sunday, August 15 in Flushing, Queens as we celebrate Korea's Independence Day. The program will be followed by lunch for all attendees.
