While most people are familiar with city or county parks, a new type of park called a Greenway has been developed over the past several decades.  A Greenway is a linear corridor of protected land that generally follows a natural feature such as a creek or old railroad. Sections of a natural surface Greenway have already been constructed in Crossville and more are being added each year. The purpose of this survey is to gauge the level of support in the community for the Greenway concept. Understanding public opinions is important to the planning process. If there is sufficient community support then more  tax dollars may be spent on a more substantial paved trail with more amenities and more connections to residential and business areas.
