Youth Rising Above's Youth Mental Health Advisory Committee (YMHAC) will be hosting a series of focus groups to discuss questions on the topic of social media, online use, and its impacts on mental health and wellbeing.

We want to hear from you! Has your social media and  online use impacted your mental health? Join our discussions and be a part of the YMHAC's exploration on how social media and online use affects the mental health and wellbeing of young people. These focus groups will also explore how young people can foster healthy social media and online practices.

Youth Rising Above invites youth ages 16-18 to participate in our focus groups.

Each participant who attends one of the three focus group will receive a $30 e-gift card. Participants must be available to attend the focus group in its entirety and may only attend one focus group.

Each focus group will run for approximately 2 hours with a ten minute break included. The focus groups will take place on:

Wednesday August 3, 2022 from 630-830 pm EST (please note this date may be subject to change)
Wednesday August 10, 2022 from 630-830 pm EST
Wednesday August 17, 2022 from 630-830 pm EST

All focus groups will be hosted online using Zoom. Access to a computer and stable internet required. For safety reasons access to a working camera is required. A working microphone is also required.
