2024 Canmore Pride Board/Committee Member Recruitment
Canmore Pride Society has been organized to create a community for 2SLGBTQIA+ Canmore residents and visitors where they feel safe, accepted, and welcome. We focus on creating events that foster inclusivity for those of all ages across the gender and sexuality spectrum. We advocate for space safes in our community and believe strongly in the power of education and visibility.

We're looking for passionate members and allies of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to join the Canmore Pride Society Board/Committees. Our board/committees are entirely volunteer-based, and helps organize the annual Canmore Pride Festival as well as year-round programming in support of 2SLGBTQIA+ people.

Responsibilities include:
  • Attending monthly meetings 
  • Actively participating in the planning, organizing, and execution of 2SLGBTQIA+ initiatives
  • Assisting with the annual Canmore Pride Festival (tentative dates: September 9-15, 2024)
  • Committing to a minimum 1 year term
We are looking for folks who are interested in helping out in areas including:
  • 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy
  • Secretary role (admin, organizing meetings, taking meeting minutes, etc.)
  • Event planning
  • Marketing and communications
  • Graphic design
  • Social media
  • Fundraising/Sponsorships
  • Performing checks with businesses/organizations for the Bow Valley Pride Network (https://www.bowvalleypridenetwork.ca/)
If you want to help out in areas not listed above, feel free to let us know! We're happy to take on board members in areas outside of those listed above.
