Teacher-Leader Advisory Group
The Division of Elementary & Secondary Education is seeking candidates for the Teacher Leader Advisory Group (TLAG).  A potential candidate should be a licensed educator who serves as a model for others and is distinguished in the field of education.

The DESE TLAG is a network of outstanding teachers and building-level administrators who serve as an advisory and assistance group to ADE.  TLAG members assist the department by reviewing and providing input and feedback on department initiatives, and assisting with other departmental functions, including but not limited to professional development activities, curriculum framework development, and otherwise lending their experience and expertise.  These emerging education leaders may be considered for membership on advisory committees and task forces. The members may also be asked to provide valuable input on key issues.

Recommended educators should have between five and 18 years of experience. Principals should have served a minimum of 10 years as an administrator, with no more than 20 years of experience. The recommended individuals are typically classroom teachers and are recognized by peers and supervisors for their ability to produce academic growth.

Candidates may be recommended by any supervisor, but may not recommend themselves.
