Thank you for taking the time to fill out this form, so we can best pair you with a student to ‘adopt’! We pray this is a great way to connect you with a student at FHBC by investing in their lives as a home away from home – you never know how the Lord will use this in both of your lives. Please be praying for your student, and ask the Lord how to best invest in them.
Expectations of adopting families:
- Host student(s) at least once a month (ideas include having them over for dinner, bringing them a home cooked meal, take them out to a restaurant, movie nights, etc.)
- If your student(s) is not traveling for holidays (Easter, Christmas, etc.), this is another great time to invite them over to spend time with you and your family.
- Be willing to offer transportation if your student does not have a car.
- Initiate communication with your student(s) about setting up date(s) for engagement.
- Pray for your student(s).
- Be creative in connecting with your student(s)!
