Postgraduate Research Transition Programme
We are running a programme for Research Postgraduate students to provide you with some targeted skills for each phase of your research degree.
The first session (March 4th) is aimed at new research students and will cover
a) The student-supervisor relationship
b) Minding ourselves and each other during the postgraduate experience
c) Planning your thesis
The second session (March 11th) is aimed at students who have completed their continuation report/exam and will cover
a) Networking
b) Promoting your research
c) Presentation skills
The third session (March 18th) is aimed at students approaching the end of their thesis and will cover
a) Preparing for your viva
b) Where to from here?
Each session will be followed by a social event organised by the GSU. Students are welcome to attend any of the sessions, regardless of what stage in the research process they are at.
