A few more details....
Each year, BaseCamp 31, a local non-profit organization in Clinton Township, coordinates a community clean-up day aka “The PLOG” via its service corps group and athletic club members. “Plogging” is an environmental and fitness movement from Sweden adopted by local runners and walkers that has expanded throughout the world to include anyone on the move (think run, walk, cycle, skate…) who are Picking-up Litter On the Go.
Last year, volunteers collected almost 2 tons of trash in just 2 hours! This year, the CT Green Team & Hunterdon County is proud to partner with BaseCamp in the 2023 “Plogga” initiative as participants strive to make an even bigger impact on environmental health.
All community members are invited to volunteer by registering here in this form!
It’s a fun day that will include team efforts, bragging rights to “most pounds of trash collected” from the roads of Clinton Township, prizes, fun, and the chance to make a difference.
