Do you use words in your work? Do you want to bring more presence, flow and play into how you share your words with others? Do you want to learn playful, imaginative and body-based approaches to generating and sharing words so that they land in other people’s imaginations and hearts? Then this is the workshop for you!
This two-day workshop from Holly Stoppit is designed for poets or public speakers and people who use words in their work, who want to build confidence and learn techniques to bring more play, ease, authenticity and flow into their performance.
Holly will hold a safe and exploratory space where a small group of adults can take risks to explore creative approaches to bringing text and improvised words to life.
Holly Stoppit is a performance skills teacher, facilitator and dramatherapist specialising in playful, interactive, autobiographical performance. For this workshop, she will dip into her massive performer-training toolkit and pull out exercises from a variety of sources including Natural Voice, Action Theatre, improvisation, stand-up comedy, Archetypal Play, Whelan Technique mindfulness meditation and guided reflection.
