Hello! and thank you so much for your interest in YAK WITH A SACK!  Soda City Friends and Palmetto Outdoors are recruiting sponsors for the 2020 kayak season; that's May-ish through August-ish depending on the weather.

To give you some context before looking ahead, here is where the program stands right now --

Soda City Friends and Palmetto Outdoors has locked in 8 weekends of pilot yak trips to close out the 2019 kayak season (WOOT!). The pilot trips are bringing in a mix of expert kayakers, novice kayakers, environmentalists, and business sponsors. At the conclusion of this initial pilot phase, we will review participant feedback and trip data, make necessary improvements and revisions to the program, THEN begin reaching out to interested sponsors (that's you!) to discuss participation in the 2020 season.

Options for sponsorship are listed below and subject to change based on feedback from the 2019 pilot trips. The approach to anticipated changes will be led by two governing thoughts -- #1, to improve internal workflow and participant experience and #2, uphold our mission and goals for YAK WITH A SACK (you can find them on our website! yakwithasack.com)

HOW SPONSORS CAN PARTICIPATE

1. Businesses and organizations can fully fund or partially fund yak trips for their employees as team building exercises or investments in Columbia's livability. For example, your company can pay for 50% of a yak trip and the employee the remaining 50%. Businesses and organizations interested in offering yak trips internally will be encouraged to fully fund an equal number of trips for underprivileged groups.

2. Any entity is welcome to simply sponsor yak trips for underprivileged groups. If you have a group in mind -- that's great! or we're happy to help you identify a group to sponsor.

3. Wanna be a little extra? Sponsor a boat! You can buy a kayak for YAK WITH A SACK and attach your branding. The kayaks can be used for your sponsored trips throughout the kayak season(s).

YAK TRIP PACKAGES
(Average trip time is 2 hours. All gear & clean up equipment is included)

1. 2 Kayakers + A River Guide = $200

2. 4 Kayakers + A River Guide = $300

3. 6 Kayakers + A River Guide = $600

*Trip prices can be adjusted for kayakers with their own boats or experienced enough to not require a guide.
