The Leaders In Training (LIT) Program was developed to give teens an alternative to general programs at the club; a sense of ownership in the program; and to ultimately give teen work experience to make career choices.

Furthermore, the program teaches and develops teen leaders by providing youth work experience at the Club and the opportunity to follow a career path in the Boys & Girls Club Movement.

The goal is to enhance the lives of youth with positive teen life skills by learning to be productive assistants in program
implementation in a Boys & Girls Club setting. By developing leaders in BGC programs, youth will have gained knowledge, skills, and experience in job readiness, life skills, goal setting, and volunteerism.
