CanaDAM EDI Luncheon Registration
This Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) event is scheduled on June 8, Thursday at 12:30-1:45PM, and will be held tentatively at 1L07, Lockhart Hall, University of Winnipeg. The focus of this event is on the topic of peoples’ experiences with EDI initiatives. Our plan is to provide a light lunch and have an informal discussion about initiatives that have been very helpful, or not helpful at all (or even harmful!), or initiatives that participants (students, in particular) would like to see implemented in their immediate communities, which include but are not limited to their department, faculties, universities, and math organizations. This event will be a good opportunity for folks to gather ideas in writing EDI statements, as well as rethinking EDI initiatives, with the hope that this will result in better EDI actions.

This event is limited to only 60 participants, and registration is on a first come first served basis. To register, we ask interested CanaDAM participants to complete this form on or before May 29.

This event is organized by Karen Meagher from the University of Regina and Hermie Monterde from the University of Manitoba. We would like to thank the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS), the Faculty of Science at the University of Manitoba and the Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba for the generous support.
