Healing the mindbody is a profound mystical experience. Anxiety, stress, and unresolved trauma leave us with imbalances in our nervous system. Gentle movement is a simple yet powerful grounding technique that effectively connects the mind and body, allowing us to restore regulation to the nervous system and find resilience. Open up to the possibilities of creating space in our minds and bodies, minimize tension and resistance, and discover that freedom and peace are waiting on the other side. 

Michelle McMurtry MA, APCC ~ is a Mental Health Clinical Counselor providing group and individual therapy at the Center for Post Traumatic Growth.  She is a trauma-focused therapist with an integrative approach that treats the whole person – body, mind, and spirit – using somatic therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness techniques, with a special focus on recognizing and healing moral injury in her clients. Michelle has an MA in Mental Health Clinical Counseling and is trained in EMDR, trauma-informed equine therapy, and is currently enrolled in the Integral Psychiatry Institute’s Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy training program.  She is the granddaughter of two WWII veterans, and is passionate about and committed to serving the veteran population.

Tess Conrad, E-RTY ~  is a certified Yoga and Qigong Instructor since 2011. Tess has been on a mindful mission for longevity. She offers a gentle, heartfelt and healing approach to her classes. Qigong (chi-gong) is a slow, meditative, mindful movement practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage, sound, and focused intention. Nourish, recover, and reset with these mindful, ancient movements for our modern day aches, pains, and unresolved traumas. 

Together, Tess and Michelle will offer a safe and sacred space to help Heal Anxiety, Stress, and Trauma Through Mindful Movement. Bring a friend. All levels. No experience necessary.
