'1. The intent of this survey'. I am a Year 12 student currently undertaking the HSC course of Society and Culture within North Shore. As part of the curriculum, I am required to research into a chosen topic of interest. This questionnaire aims to collect primary data which will allow me to more accurately represent the experience of Asian-Australians and their experience with first language attrition.
The following information explains important aspects of my survey being conducted.
1. The intent of this survey
This questionnaire is intended to help me gather information for my investigation. My investigation centres around understanding how the loss of the native language across generations can be affected by social treatment towards Asian-Australians and how this in turn can affect their sense of belonging in society. Please refer to the listed definitions in the next part of this survey for further clarification.
2. All information gathered in this survey is confidential.
Your response to questions within this survey will remain anonymous and will only be used as a part of my investigation. As such, no unnecessary and/or private information such as your contact details, will be collected or shared. Only information which is necessary to this investigation will be asked for and gathered.
3. You have a right to not answer the questions.
The first three questions of this survey will be essential to the investigation so an answer is required if you are to participate in this survey. Answering the first three questions will enable you to continue with the survey. If any of the following questions are uncomfortable for you, you can choose not to answer the questions and the survey will end.
