2024-25 APMA Educational Foundation Scholarship Application
The APMA Educational Foundation’s mission is to advance the growth and stability of podiatric medicine through student scholarships and increasing nationwide awareness of foot and ankle health. The foundation manages the scholarship program and supports APMA projects and initiatives.

Criteria 

The APMA Educational Foundation awards scholarships to qualified students at the nine accredited schools of podiatric medicine around the country. The foundation takes into account the following four criteria:
  1. Rising third- or fourth year standing
  2. Financial need, as determined by the US Department of Education
  3. Grade Point Average (minimum 2.5 required)
  4. Extracurricular activities demonstrating awareness and commitment to APMA's mission, such as community service, school leadership and/or other student involvement.
Policies Governing Scholarship Disbursement
  • All scholarship applicants must be APMA members. APMA offers complimentary membership to students. To become a member, visit apma.org/join and complete the student opt-in form.
  • A committee at each college consisting of 3-5 members, including, but not limited to, the financial aid officer, faculty, and administration members, will assess section criteria, review applications, and make final decisions on student eligibility.
  • The APMA Educational Foundation makes payments to each school identifying individual scholarship recipients. The scholarship funds must be directly credited to the student’s tuition account.

Eligibility You must meet all requirements listed.

  • Podiatric medical student in good standing as determined by the academic institution
  • Rising third- or fourth-year student status
  • Grade Point Average 2.5 and above
  • Demonstrated commitment to APMA's mission by way of podiatric community/school service
