2023 OMS Spring Meeting ImageJ/Fiji Workshop sign up sheet

Time: April 14th Friday 9 - 10 am and 1 - 2 pm. 

Location: Oklahoma State University, Tulsa Campus,  center for Health Sciences, 1111 W. 17th St. Tulsa, OK 74107 Tandy conference center

Workshop description: This workshop provides a basic foundation of ImageJ/Fiji (Fiji is just ImageJ), an open source image analysis package you should be using to open, process, and export your microscopy images from. It uses real imaging data to address common image processing and analysis problems. It also provides hands on activities for attendees to practice.

Please signup to attend the workshop.  Thanks for the generous support from the Oklahoma Microscopy Society (OMS). The workshop is part of the OMS annual spring meeting and is completely free.The workshop is free for everyone. It will be offered both in-person and virtually. Please indicate if you would like to attend in-person or virtually. Zoom link and workshop data packages will be emailed the day before the workshop/OMS meeting. We encourage everyone to attend the workshop in-person as sometimes technical issues present for virtual workshops.

To participate in real time, please download FIJI from: www.fiji.sc and install it on your computer before the workshop.

Section One (Beginner) 9 - 10 am : Focus on the effective use of ImageJ/Fiji. It is intended for people who have never used the ImageJ/Fiji before, or have very little knowledge on how to use this program.

Topic covered: Introduction to digital imaging, basic ImageJ functions, various types of image analysis, defining regions of interest (ROI) and taking general measurements for qua.

Section Two (intermediate) 1 - 2 pmIt’s intended for experienced users who would like to learn methods that will take your ImageJ/FIJI analysis to the next level..

Career Development Lunch and coffees will be provided during OMS meeting. Please sign up for lunch.
