High School Art Student Release Form
This form is required for all artwork entries submitted to the ESD 123 Regional High School Art Show. For questions, please contact Molly Curtiss at mcurtiss@esd123.org. Please read carefully — Releases and Permissions being granted.

The undersigned hereby agrees to the Official Rules as outlined by OSPI in this form. In accordance with said rules, the student artist or the student artist’s guardian agrees that their entry meets all the requirements, including the following:

a) The student artist is the sole and exclusive original artist of the submitted artwork;

b) The student artist is in possession of and retains all rights associated with ownership of the artwork, including the authority and right to enter the artwork into the Art Show and license its use by ESD 123 and OSPI;

c) Use of copyrighted material is prohibited. Each entry may not violate U.S. copyright laws. Any entry that is found to violate copyright laws or has been copied from an existing photo or image that was created by someone other than the student will be disqualified from the show.

Additionally, the student artist or the student artist’s guardian agree to following terms:

a) Releases ESD 123 and OSPI and its employees and agents from any liability for loss, vandalism, theft, damage, or destruction of the submitted artwork while it is in ESD 123’s and OSPI’s possession, or on display at the exhibition location or ESD 123’s and OSPI’s offices.

Acknowledgement of STATE Art Show Requirements:

Students who wish to have their artwork submitted for inclusion in the Washington State Superintendent's Art Show through OSPI are required to submit an Artist Video AND an Artist Statement. (These components are optional for submission to the ESD 123 Regional Art Show, but are required for any piece moving on to the OSPI State Show.)

Photography Requirement

1. Each art entry must include 1-4 digital photos of the artwork (in .jpeg format).

2. Photographs of artwork may be submitted by either the student artist or the student's art teacher.

3. All photographs must be emailed to Molly Curtiss at mcurtiss@esd123.org no later than February 15, 2024.

4. Entries that do not include a digital photo will not be submitted for entry to the OSPI State Art Show, now will they be displayed in the ESD 123 online art gallery.
