When: Sunday, December 17th at 1:00 and 3:00 PM
That's right - two performances! Shows will begin at 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM and each should be a little over an hour in length. All participants will perform in both performances.
Where: Linn-Mar High School Auditorium:

Auditorium doors open at 12:30 PM for the 1:00 PM show, and 2:30 PM for the 3:00 PM show.
Who: Any dancer enrolled in a Ballet class Level 1 and up may participate! This performance is completely optional - we'd love for you to join us! Class roles will be determined after sign-ups are complete. Dancers must be signed up for this performance - it is not an automatic registration.
Note: Only dancers enrolled in a ballet class may participate. If your dancer is not enrolled in ballet, but would like to participate, we would love to have them add the class! It isn't too late to do so!
If your dancer is in Dance & Discover, Beginning Level classes, or Chance to Dance - those classes will not be performing in The Nutcracker. We will have a separate, in-studio Holiday Performance opportunity available for them to participate in on Sunday, December 10th. More information coming soon - please keep an eye on your Friday FYI emails.

What is the commitment for this performance?
Rehearsal: Excellent in-class attendance, work ethic, and correct attire every week.
At-Home Practice: Significant at-home practice to remember and continue to polish choreography. Instructors will provide videos and music as resources for at-home practice.
Financial: $115 Class Performance Package. This is an incredible value - includes costume rental, choreography, four tickets to the performance(s) of your choosing, and the Nutcracker cast t-shirt! If your dancer is enrolled in more than one participating class (ex. Ballet 6 & Intermediate Pointe) both classes are included in the Class Performance Package price.
Rehearsal Dates/Times: All Nutcracker performers MUST be present for dress rehearsal (evening of 12/15) and both performances (afternoon of 12/17) at Linn-Mar High School. Classes may be combined with another class and asked (encouraged but not required) to attend multiple classes in December. Additional (optional) activities/performances may be added.
Costuming
If your dancer(s) are participating in The Nutcracker, these costumes will be rented out to your dancers for the performance and returned at the end of the show. Our goal is to produce a more grand Nutcracker experience by purchasing more elaborate costumes, but keep it cost-effective for your family through this rental process.
To protect the rental costumes so they can be used for future performances, all Nutcracker dancers will be required to wear a skin tone camisole leotard underneath their costume. If you need to purchase one of these, there is an option to add it onto your Nutcracker Registration for $30. If you already own a skin tone leotard, please disregard this option. This is a great undergarment option to have for future Recitals, competitions, and performances as well!
All registrations are due by Friday, September 22nd. Your studio account will be charged for the performance package plus sales tax with November's auto-pay on October 25th. Due to the timeline of costume ordering and intricate choreography planning, we will NOT be able to accept late registrations.
