Zine making has been one of the most cost effective form of self publishing and spreading
awareness. It has been tightly knit with alternative cultures as well as activism since the 1930s.
It was a way to breakout of gatekept forms of press and publishing. It allows an individual the
liberty to not just express themselves, but to not fall prey to editorial control.
As a facilitator, Rini would like this zine workshop to end up into an archive or collection of personal
expression and story telling rooted in D & I Collective’s vision to spread awareness and
accessibility. The individual zines could be further compiled into a book of stories about
menstrual experiences.
This workshop is online, free and we strive to make it as accessible as possible. We will also be providing certificates, should you need it for your professional, skilling, or educational development.
