Chemistry in the primary classroom
Teachers, register below to join this free online professional learning session on Thursday 2 May 4:00–4:45 pm.

Join Greta Dromgool from the Science Learning Hub and the team from the New Zealand Association of Primary Science Educators (NZAPSE) as we explore simple hands-on ways to include chemistry in your classroom.

We will be celebrating the International Year of the Periodic Table and demonstrating activities that you could use during Primary Science Week (13–17 May). Links will be made to the Nature of Science and science capabilities so participants can see how this can be done with students.

This session will be valuable for all primary school teachers as well as junior secondary teachers wanting to include more practical chemistry. However, all teachers are welcome to join us.

We use Zoom for our webinars. By registering, you will receive an email the day before the webinar. This will include a clickable link to our live PLD session and detailed information on how to join.

All those who answer the questions in the registration form, attend the live webinar and participate in the follow-up discussion in our Slack forum (http://bit.ly/2xMhxkh) will receive a certificate. Additional details about this will be included in the live webinar.
