Project WHIRL: Summer Environmental Science
WHIRL stands for Water and Habitat in the Indian River Lakes, the area youth will explore through this programing. The IRLC partners with working and retired environmental professionals from diverse fields to cover Watershed management, Aquatic Resources, and Invasive Species Management.

Students will explore streams and lakes, monitor water quality, delineate watersheds, and learn how to identify aquatic and terrestrial Invasive species under the guidance and mentorship of professionals. The goal of this program is to instill a stewardship mentality in North Country youth and expose the to a vast array of environmental careers.

Space is limited to the first 10 participants.
