Spotify User Data Survey
Hello! If you're reading this, it's because you've signed up for a student survey on Spotify data usage and collection.

As part of this survey, you will fill out a pair of questionnaires and download personal data from Spotify. It will take no more than 10 minutes to complete, though the second part requires waiting several days to finish.

We commit to maintaining a secure and ethical relationship with you and your data. At no point will any personally identifying information (PII) of yours be published, and we ask only the minimum of PII to characterize our sample.

Answer data collected in the course of this survey will be collated and evaluated internally at an educational institution, i.e. this is a class assignment which will be graded. Answer data will not be shared or published in any other form. Further, upon collection all data will be anonymized, and none other than the survey author will have access to the original data.

We are in no way affiliated with Spotify or any other corporation.

or your regional equivalent and scroll to the bottom. You will have to be signed in to a Spotify account on a computer for this. You will see a 'Download your data' header, and below that a set of steps to request your data from Spotify. Please click on step 1 and follow the instructions. That will begin the process to get your data delivered.

Receiving your data will take some time, usually around 3 days. Once you receive your data by email, follow the instructions in the second part of this survey.

You do NOT have to show this data to me or anyone else, it is exclusively for your own viewing.

Make sure your draft of this survey is saved and leave the tab open, then proceed to part 2 when you have the data.
