The prewritten characters have been written as cis, though most can be played as non-binary or agender. We are happy to work with you on incorporating a trans character if you wish.

Romance is a theme for some of the characters, but not all. The treatment of same-sex relationships by default is positive (the characters are liberal and generally suportive of each other). Coming out is a theme for some of the characters.

Zoe is a central character of the larp and the player would be given some responsibilities (mostly sending pre-written messages to all the other participants at fixed times, 4 times during the playtime). They don't have to come up with tasks for the other characters, these will be pre-scripted by us, though if they wish they can put a personal touch on them to some extent. We expect multiple characters would want to interact with Zoe, so it would be best if she was played by someone enthusiastic about staying in character most of the time. Note: this character is written as female (or non-binary/agender, if the player prefers).

Extras are characters who aren't participating in Zoe's project, but still have an important relationship to one or two characters and would engage in some video chats with them; this might suit players with less time to dedicate to the larp. We will be able to adjust their scenes so that it suits your schedule. If you want, you can play multiple extras. Playing extras comes with a reduced ticket price of £5. Your character sheet would be quite short, just a couple of paragraphs.

The main theme the larp is exploring is trying to improve something in one's life: e.g. fixing a strained relationship with a loved one, unlearning an unhealthy coping strategy, self-discovery, following one's dreams etc.

By default, you will be given one of the characters pre-written by us and tweaked somewhat to suit your preferences. However, we have room for a few characters based completely around players' ideas. If you have a strong idea for a character who would fit the setting and intended playstyle of the larp, please describe it here.

This is not the main focus of the larp, so it is perfectly fine if you leave this question empty. E.g. beginner-level yoga or mediation, a recipe for gingerbread biscuits.

Again, this is not the main focus of the larp, but might be of interest to some of the players. It's something that your character would also like to do and it would be given to them as a minor in-larp task, e.g. take a 30-min walk every day, get back to doing photography as a hobby etc. (Note: while eating healthier and/or exercising more can be possible motivations, we'd like to avoid playing specifically on weight loss).
