2024 Season Call for Volunteers
We are seeking expressions of interest for anyone wishing to become a volunteer for the BDC Barracudas in 2024. This includes coaches, managers, committee members and other roles such as bbq duties, equipment management and fundraising.  

We will consider senior students interested in coaching as well as any eligible member of the community.

All volunteers are required to have a current Working With Children Check (where over 18) and complete the Child Safe Sport e-learning module through the Office of the Child's Guardian. These should be obtained and proof provided prior to the season commencement. 

The roles we are looking to fill are:
- Coach, Assistant Coach & Manager for each team
- A Coordinator for each Code (Football/Soccer & Rugby - Basketball has already been filled)
- Game Day Helpers including equipment setup and bbq duties (outdoor sports only)

CODE COORDINATORS ROLE
- Liaising between Coaches & the Barracuda Club Executives
- Coach/Manager Communication
- Monitoring the progress of each team
- Other responsibilities as directed by Barracuda Club Executives 

AGE GROUPS/TEAMS
Basketball (Boys & Girls in each age group)
U10, U12, U14, U16, U18

Football/Soccer (mixed in each age group)
U6, U7, U8, U9, U10, U11 - miniroos
U12 (Girls - Competitive - if sufficient numbers)

Rugby
U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13 (mixed)
U12-16 Rugby 7s (Girls)

GAME INFORMATION (as per 2023 season)
Basketball U8-14 games are on Saturday mornings
Basketball U16-18 games are on Friday afternoon/nights
Football games are on Saturday morning
Rugby U8-13 are on Friday nights
Rugby 7s - TBC
