What is the Parent Engagement Program (PEP)?
PPS’s Parent Engagement Program (PEP) is designed to provide parents* and community members the information and leadership skills to build educational partnerships with administrators and teachers and to improve academic performance for students in public schools. Participants who complete the program work to build partnerships and execute leadership plans to strengthen public schools.
*Parents are defined as anyone who is a caregiver of children

Where will the PEP sessions be held?
-At your school. 

How much do the sessions cost?
-PEP is FREE to all participants and materials are provided at no cost.  

When will the Parent Engagement Program be held?
- Starting this fall, dates will be released soon.

Selection Criteria
Participation in the Parents for Public Schools (PPS) Parent Engagement Program is open to education stakeholders who have or have had children in public schools or who work closely with parents and children.  Participants will be selected on the basis of:

-Leadership potential
-Interest and/or active participation in schools and community
-Willingness to execute an individual leadership plan at least a one year period.
-Commitment to attend all sessions and to maintain an ongoing connection with the PPS network

Participants are selected without regard to race, color, religion, sex, disability, family status, or national origin.  There is no charge for participation.
